Quik appears to start downloading but immediately says Import Cancelled, no matter which way you use, GoPro camera or SD card.

The error message "query cancelled" can be found at the error log files each time you intended to import GoPro files to Quik. Sounds familiar? Welcome to the club - who doesn't encounter such irritating problem? Fortunately, there are some effective workarounds available to troubleshoot this issue. Providing you've already upgraded your macOS to High Sierra or Catalina, it's seemingly necessary to update Quik to the latest version.

The macOS system update has changed the built-in file system a little bit. Last, restart your Mac computer. Afterwards, choose destination folder again although it has nothing different from the folder in "Import Location" already. Just do that and everything will come back to normal. Some Quik users pull the downloaded GoPro files into Quik but it says they're the wrong format. Probably, the original video format has changed after uploading to cloud service. It seems weird. I am having trouble getting new media on my GoPro App. I have a Hero 7. I have troubleshooted everything, downloaded and updated software and app, checked the date accuracy, restarted a few times now. Is there anything else I can do?

I think it's an issue with the GoPro. Is there any other way for me to access the media thats on the GoPro?

May I know what exactly is happening? I'm not seeing new files that I took over the last three days. They show up on the GoPro, but the app doesn't show them. Please try to scroll down all the way to the bottom of the Media page. See if the files were just back-dated. Thank you for the details that you provided, seanp Are you getting any error message when initiating the import or download?

Also, which version of the app is installed on your phone? Have you tried accessing your media using a computer - with Quik for desktop or file explorer. In case the app allows importing of media, see if the files may just be located under a different timeline which is the case for incorrectly dated files.

We have tested with both Android and iOS devices with recently captured media and we are able to preview, download and view them on the app. If you haven't yet, try manually updating your camera following the steps under Manual Update here. Make sure that the camera uses a recommended SD card. Should the issue persist, please provide us information regarding the phone that you are using as well as its OS version, and the SD card brand and capacity.

I have the same problem. My Hero7 shows the videos on the camera, but will not download them to the GoPro App. This is a recent development. Is there a work around for this problem?

When the camera is connected, select "View Media" and manually download the files from there. If they downloaded fine, but you're still unable to locate the files, try to browse through the GoPro App's media list and see if the recent media files are just dated incorrectly. Sorry for any troubles caused. What you can do for now is to transfer all files manually to your computer by using an SD card adapter and then transfer or copy all contents of your SD card to your computer. In fact the problem seems to be on the camera, that does not "transfer" the images to the sd card.

I can see all the pictures on camera, but when I remove the SD Card and connect it to my PC, some files doesn't appear over there.

I have also tried to connected the camera straight to my PC, using an USB cable, bringing the same issue. The same happens when I use the app. Only on my camera!! I Hope you guys have a solution for it, without loosing the pictures. Sometimes those files have incorrect date and you can find them on the app but they might be on a different date and time.

Hi jayr , Wow I found the pictures!! In fact, those who were missed were recorded in the sd card, using a stamp of Many thanks for your help!! I'm having the SAME issue.

I just took footage on Sunday and I can't access it. I think it has to do with updating the firmware. I hadn't used my camera since February and everything before updating the firmaware is accessable. Hello, hoblau. To verify, do you have the latest version of the GoPro App installed on your phone, and is your camera updated to the latest firmware? When sorted via recent uploads, do you see all the media that are supposed to have been imported to the app?

Are the media dated correctly? Are these videos? Are you looking under the APP tab in the app? See if singing out and back into the app will display all media as they should. Let us know what you find out. I can see the footie on my camera, but it is not visable on the desktop version of quik or the old gopro studio Hello, molez.

Which camera model are you using? Do you get any error message on your computer or in Quik for desktop when you attempt to view the media? See if the media may be incorrectly dated once imported to the app. This could cause the media to be found under a different timeline in the media library.

You may also check the Recent tab in the app and see if the files are there. We suggest inserting the SD card directly to the computer through an SD card adapter. Same problem. GoPro 7 Black. Gopro Quik PC desktop app. No new media. I can see the media on my camera and on Android app but can't import files to PC.

No errors. The only thing I can see on the camera is information "USB connected". If you haven't yet, please go over the steps on Camera is Not Recognized on Quik for desktop - Windows.

Just organized improperly. It happened to me yesterday too when it was working fine earlier in the week. I contacted GoPro support and they weren't able to offer a solution other than to reformat the SD card back up your data of course. No idea if that will help yet. We did a test and it worked fine. The only difference with these recent recordings is they were about 1 GB file size each. I am wondering if file size or video length causes some impact. Luckily the files were there. They are just dated wrong.

Hopefully a solution is discovered soon! I am thinking it is file size. I was just able to download a mb file from the cloud. Showed up fine. It downloads, app crashes to the homescreen. I got into the iPhone storage settings and it shows that the large file was downloaded.

Media is visible on the iPhone app, and is dated correctly, but media won't show up in GoPro Quik for desktop. Have footage on several dates since and still not visible on mobile app. However, one set of footage has all appeared from an early June date. Next, did you check each folders from your card? Message 2 of 9 1, Views. Hello, thanks for the response. Yes, I checked every folder. But it still says that GB is used.

Message 3 of 9 1, Views. Hi hj91 , Please manually scan your file. Probably those file have different time and date format. Please let us know. Message 4 of 9 1, Views. What is the format of your videos? H or HEVC? If H, can you see LRV files? Message 5 of 9 1, Views. By manually scan, you mean putting my sd card into an sd card adapter and looking at my videos one by one?
